Seventeen people have been killed in a ghastly motor accident in Sarin Malam Village of Kankiya local government area of Katsina state. The state sector commander of Federal Road Safety Corp, Abdu Sule Bagadawa, who confirmed the accident, said 9 of the victims who were burnt were given a mass burial attended by the council chairman and Divisional Police officer.
According to him, the accident resulting from tire burst involved A Toyota Hiace and a Passat Golf with registration number KZ 981 AA and SA 151 MPZ respectively. He said, a total of twenty people were involved, and the 3 injured ones were taken to Kankia general hospital.
