FG To Begin Re-screening Of 2000 Immigration Recruits.

Respite has come the way of the dispersed 2,000 immigration recruits who were irregularly issued letters of employment in February, 2015  as the federal government has reversed its initial  stand by approving the review of their case.A statement by the spokesman of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Mr. Ekpedeme Kings,  the  decision to review  the case is sequel to  an emergency meeting of the Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration, and Prisons Services Board (CDFIPB) on the 11th of August 2016, where new guidelines were issued for the screening of the affected applicants.According to the statement, the 2,000 dispersed officers would be subjected to drug test, certificate verification,  and implementation of CDFIPB policy on age and rank.The statement adds that consequent on the above clearance,  applicants whose names were listed in the NIS website: www.immigration.gov.ng would be requested to report to the NIS headquarters Abuja with their academic certificates, birth certificate, previous employment records (if any), indigene certificates  (originals and photocopies), 2 passport photographs, and in  batches as would be scheduled.The statement further explained that the screening which will commence from August 29  to September 4, 2016, will be done in the order of ranks beginning with  ASI2 (CONPASS 08) and  later to AII (CONPASS 06) and that the exercise will be done in the order of states, disclosing that ASI2 (CONPASS 08) is billed to commence screening between August 29- 30th.
