Kogi West PDP accuse Governor Bello of tyranny

The Peoples Democratic Party (P DP) in kogi state has likened the administration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello of kogi state to that of the biblical King Nebuchadenezzar of ancient Babylon saying the governor has hoisted unimaginable hardship and abject poverty among the citizenry occasioned by non payment of salaries to the workers.
At a stakeholders’ meeting of the Kogi West Senatorial district of the party held at Rakiya Ogheha Place in Lokoja Thursday, the party took a critical look of the All Progressive Congress led administration in the state concluded that the administration has come to spread poverty, hardship and sickness as hundreds of people have been taken to their early graves due to poor economic management and insensitivity to the plights of people.
The party said Kogi State has been turned into a punching bag by the APC even and condemned the endless screening exercise carried out by the state government saying several people have lost their lives through road accidents, exhaustion and cardiac arrest over the exercise.

This Yahaya Bello administration is heartless, inconsiderate, insensitive, and irresponsive to the plights of kogi civil servants, it has utterly failed the people as it is bereft of what to do to move the state forward”
The party noted that the APC was running a government of deceit and blackmail saying the new direction policy agenda of Bello’s administration was aimed at strangulating the masses and making the poor poorer adding that almost a year of the administration, nothing so far has been done in the state except “rudderless screening”
The party also condemned in its entirety the frequent travelings of the governor from outside the state saying it is a flagrant abdication of his responsibility to give quality leadership and good governance.
Earlier at the commencement of the meeting, some party leaders resorted to raining curses on members who they said betrayed their party in the last governorship election saying ” God will never forgive them”
The party which called on members to come together and wrestle power back from the ruling APC, said with the prevailing economic condition in the country, it was clear that APC has failed the people
The party said it has learn its lessons in the last election and assured its members that by 2019 it will bounce back to win the governorship seat.
Those present at the meeting include former deputy chief of staff to the presidency, Prince Sola Akanmode, former Secretary to the State Government,Sola Ojo , former PDP state chairman, Chief Hassan Salawu, Hon Henry Ojuola, and Chief Kola Ojo who is the Kogi west zonal chairman, among others.
