Air Peace to launch Sokoto route

Air Peace has taken delivery of its twelfth aircraft, a 114-capacity Boeing 737-500 with a plan to open Sokoto route in few days to come.
The airline said the arrival of the aircraft will greatly boost its expansion drive.
It would be recalled that the carrier last Thursday commenced its daily Lagos-Accra-Lagos flight operations.
It had earlier entered the Lagos-Benin-Lagos, Abuja-Benin-Abuja and the Lagos-Uyo-Lagos routes, adding that Sokoto, the seat of caliphate is the next local route to be launched.
The new aircraft arrived the Murtala Mohammed International Airport on Tuesday amidst excitement by staff of the carrier.
Chief Operating Officer of Air Peace, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Olajide disclosed that two of its aircraft are also arriving from C-check. “We intend hitting more regional and international destinations, including Abidjan, Douala, Niamey, Dakar, Johannesburg, South Africa, Dubai, Mumbai, Guangzhou-China, Atlanta and London”, she said.

Olajide added, “We insisted on the regulatory heavy maintenance in accordance with Boeing requirements. We insist on very high safety standards because we greatly value the lives of our esteemed customers".
According to her, at a time the aviation industry is facing a lot of challenges, “we have continued to show strength and maintain very high standards. Our banks and other creditors have also been very supportive because of our integrity."
The airline, she added, was uncompromising in the maintenance of its aircraft to guarantee the safety of its customers.
In a related development, the airline has opened a new office at Lekki Phase 1 in Lagos to bring its services closer to its customers.
