Kaduna ICT hub in partner with Google trains 5,000 youths

The Kaduna Information and Communication Technology (ICT) hub in partnership with Google, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the state government have trained about 5,000 youths across the state on digital skills as part of efforts towards diversifying the nation’s economy.
The training according to the chief executive officer of the hub, Engineer Yusuf Bashir is to empower unemployed youths in the state to become self reliant as well as to equip them with the necessary tools needed to move their businesses forward. “We are interested in entrepreneurs who are willing to start their own businesses and who want to do their businesses online,” he noted.
Speaking at the training, one of the Google trainers, Charles Eromosele urged Nigerian youths to shift focus from seeking white collar jobs, admonishing that they could create hope for themselves by being self dependent. According to him, the world was growing in technology while Nigeria was growing in size, as such, Nigeria cannot afford to remain a consuming nation.
