The Governor of Jigawa State Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has described AVM Mukhtar Muhammad's death as a great loss to Jigawa State and Nigeria at large.
The Governor stated this when he received the shocking news of AVM Mukhtar Muhammad's Death in the early hours of Monday.
Governor Badaru said even though death is a necessary end for every mortal, but losing people like AVM Mukhtar Muhammad is indeed a great loss.
AVM Mukhtar Muhammad who holds the Traditional Title of Wazirin Dutse and a former Military Governor of defunct Kaduna State and also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the first private radio station in the North, Freedom Radio Kano died at a London Hospital, Monday.
Governor Badaru said the Late Wazirin Dutse was a man who will be remembered for his sterling qualities of uprightness and selflessness.
The Governor enjoined Nigerians particularly the people of Jigawa State to imbibe the legacies of unity the late elder statesman has always preached and personified.
The governor condoled with the family of the Late Mukhtar Muhammad, urged them to take solace in his good deeds and the legacies he left behind.
Governor Badaru said his administration will greatly miss the wise counsel of the departed former governor.
