Atiku felicitates with T.Y Danjuma at 80

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has described retired General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, as a gift from God at his 80th birthday.
In a press statement by Atiku Media Organisation, the former Vice President said that Danjuma is today celebrating the grand age of 80 years, is a testimonial to the fact that he has divine favour and that the Almighty still has tasks for him to accomplish in making his beloved country Nigeria, a better country.

The statement read: “Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar rejoices with retired General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, his friends, associates and the good people of Taraba State and indeed all Nigerians, on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
“The Waziri Adamawa describes the retired General as a great Nigerian who is not only a pride to the nation, but a gift from God.
According to Atiku Abubakar, T.Y. Danjuma and many of his contemporaries who were young military officers in the 1960s are patriots who cut their teeth in an epic struggle to hold Nigeria together when misunderstanding and grandstanding threatened to tear the nation asunder.
“That they were able to toil and keep the country together is a great feat for which all Nigerians would forever remain grateful.
“The fact that T.Y. Danjuma is today celebrating the grand age of 80 years, is a testimonial to the fact that he has divine favour and that the Almighty still has tasks for him to accomplish in making his beloved country Nigeria, a better country in view of the myriad of problems the country is currently facing.
The Waziri Adamawa says that the former Minister of Defence “is a man of distinction having done very well in many aspects of life, adding that his longevity is as a result of the satisfaction he feels and the prayers of all those whose life he has positively touched.
“That T.Y. Danjuma’s dossier is intimidating as a fearless soldier, General and Defence Minister, business man and entrepreneur, philanthropist of no mean feat, nationalist, boardroom leader of many top companies and Statesman.
According to Atiku, only few men who have the favour of God can have all these accomplishments attached to their name.
The Waziri Adamawa wishes this great son of Nigeria, and one of Nigeria’s foremost Statesmen, many happy returns on his birthday and prays that the Almighty continue to spare his life to enable the country to continue to benefit from his wisdom and experience.
